Congrats graduate, you made it! 

We are looking forward to celebrating your graduation at our department ceremony on Thursday, May 4 at 12 pm, in Reynolds Coliseum.  Below are IMPORTANT instructions to follow for the day of the event. 

This is a milestone for you AND your classmates, and we would like you and your family/friends to be able to celebrate the achievements of your class in a respectful manner. Arriving on time, wearing proper regalia, paying attention during the event, and following staff/student marshal instructions are critical to showing others that you respect the accomplishments of your peers just as much as you are proud of your own. 

EVENT LOGISTICS

Arrival time: 11:15 – 11:45 AM
It may take a few minutes for you to check in, so plan to arrive with time to spare.

The Wolfline buses will be on the break schedule; only three routes will be running for student transportation.  Public parking will be available in the Coliseum Deck (Pay Lot) located at 201 Jensen Drive, Raleigh, NC 27601.

  • Please arrive on time. You will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony after the processional has started. 
  • Student entrance: Enter Reynolds Coliseum via the east side of the building
  • Check-in: When you arrive at Reynolds, find the grad students check-in table.
    • You’ll be given a program with a number to arrange you in the correct order for the ceremony.  
    • Be prepared to stay in this order once we begin lining up for the processional, until the event concludes.  
    • Staff and student marshals will direct you throughout the ceremony, please watch for directions from them throughout the event.
  • Attire: Caps, gowns and hoods *must be worn at the ceremony.
    • Regalia may be purchased at the NC State Wolfpack Outfitters Store on the Main Campus. 
  • EXPECTATIONS: It is very important to remain seated until the end of the ceremony to show respect for your faculty and fellow graduates.  
    • When the service ends, marshals will escort you into the lobby area, where you can take photos with friends and family.
    • Please refrain from using electronic devices during the event in order to maintain the respectful atmosphere of the ceremony.

FAMILY & FRIENDS INFO

Ask your guests to enter through the North Lobby (Grand Hall). 

  • Seating for guests will be on the second floor.  
  • Reynolds Coliseum does not allow strollers.
  • Seating will be on a first come-first served basis.  Please ask guests to arrive before 11:45 AM, turn off all cell phones, and remain seated during the ceremony as a courtesy to others.  
  • The event will also be recorded and streamed live online for anyone unable to attend in person at http://go.ncsu.edu/csc-diploma.  Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari are recommended for viewing the live streaming of the ceremony.
