When students return to class in January and are still in limbo with their summer plans, it can create nervousness and anxiety about having a positive outcome for the internship search. Certainly, it is very important to be dedicated to one’s intern search in January & February, as many deadlines approach during this period. However, most of our students typically do not receive offers until MARCH. See the linked handouts with the full report.
PERSISTENCE in the intern search is key. Don’t wait to hear back before applying to more places, keep going until you have an OFFER you are ready to ACCEPT.
